| Once
you have decided on a particular portrait you would like to
have drawn, for example, an 11" X 14" or 16" X
20" portrait of your son or daughter for your home or
a portrait to give as a gift to a dear friend, the
procedure is:
1. Call
or email me to discuss the portrait you would like to have
drawn. My phone number is 413-592-7505 and my email
address is kcandon@msn.com.
2. If
possible, send me a digital picture by email of the person,
persons, or animal, or pet, you would like me to draw.
3. I will
provide you with a quote for the job. In most cases, I
will be able to do this within 24 hours after receiving your
email, or call, and after looking at the photo you sent.
If you are unable to send me a digital photo by email, you can
send me a photo by regular mail in which case it will take a
little longer to get you a quote for the job.
4. Once
the quote is approved, I get to work.
5.
I work exclusively from photographs that are either sent to me
by email or by regular mail.
6. Once
the portrait is finished, I photograph it and send you a
picture of it. If you are happy with what you see, I
then sign the portrait and mail it to you by Priority Mail.
7. All
photos that were sent to me by regular mail are returned with
the completed drawing.
8. The
portrait is fully paid for before it is mailed. Payment
is by check, money order or Mastercard or Visa.
9. Once
you receive the portrait, I advise that you get a nice mat and
frame for it. Arts and Crafts stores and Frame Shops can
help you choose just the right color for the mat and just the
right frame. Knowing what room the portrait will
be hanging in and what the colors are of the walls and
furniture in that room are very helpful when deciding on the
right mat and frame.
10. The
portrait is matted and framed and, if it is for your home, it
is yours to enjoy and show to friends and family for many,
many years to come!
PORTRAIT
SIZES: 11" X 14"
16" X 20" 20" X 24"
FEES: The
fees charged are based on the amount of time and work it will
take to complete the portrait. Some portraits take 10 -
15 hours to complete. Others can take as many as 30
hours to complete. It all depends on what the portrait
size is, how much detail work is involved and how many people are in the portrait. In
the examples below, the portrait on the left involved a lot
more detail work than the portrait on the right, to give you
an example of how some portraits have more detail work than
others:
MAILING THE PORTRAIT: Portraits
are mailed in a flat, sturdy package, by Priority Mail.
Great care is taken during the packaging process to ensure you
